The wool is designed to reduce friction and effectively redistribute pressure for the user whilst bedridden. The high fibre density offers excellent pressure distribution, ensuring whole-body protection. The Sheepskin also successfully wicks moisture to help prevent skin damage and increase comfort for the user. The XD1900 Wool Overlay wick away moisture which would usually lead to skin damage and ulceration. Placing the overlay on a bed can turn a standard mattress into a pressure care mattress.
A wool overlay decreases restlessness and improves sleep quality through the excellent temperature, perspiration regulation and air redistribution properties of wool. The Overlay can be machine washed with normal household detergent. All Shear Comfort products are guaranteed against deterioration for up to 50 machine washes.
