The fibre density of Shear Comfort provides superior pressure redistribution and is of medical grade. It allows the user to spend extended periods at the highest level of protection and comfort. The Shear Comfort Overlays are made from weaving natural wool to a fabric backing with a smart edge trim finish. The XD1900 Wool Overlay wicks away moisture which would usually lead to skin damage and ulceration. Placing the overlay on a bed can turn a standard mattress into a pressure care mattress. A wool overlay decreases restlessness and improves sleep quality through the excellent temperature, perspiration regulation and air redistribution properties of wool.
The wool is natural and has been treated to ensure that it can be repeatedly washed up to 80°C. The double and queen bed overlays have no leather backing and can be washed with normal household detergent. Due to the large size of the Double and Queen sized bed overlays, a large capacity washing machine is required.
