The analogue clock and easy-to-read flip-card display for the day and date can still be read even under fluorescent lighting (a common problem with clocks that use LCD or Liquid Crystal Displays). Using reliable German Quartz Flip-Card movement for accurate timekeeping, once set the calendar automatically updates and even self-adjusts for leap years.
